Chapter One · The Origin
In the spring of 2017, three sisters — one in London, one in Cairo, one in Toronto — kept sending one another the same late-night messages. Where could a Muslim woman go online to read something trustworthy about her faith, her marriage, her children, her career, without scrolling past noise, ads, or opinions with no name attached? They could not find it. So they built it.
What began as a shared document of book recommendations and parenting notes became, by autumn of that year, a small daily publication — written, edited, and reviewed entirely by women, with classical tafsir and authenticated hadith collections at the centre of every page. The promise from day one was simple and has never been changed: no outside advertising, no anonymous opinions, and no content that has not been read by a named scholar on the masthead.
Eight years on, that promise still defines the publication. IslamSister is the trusted home for Muslim women who want faith-aligned guidance without the noise — a curated daily read on Islam, family, wellness, and purpose, written by sisters, for sisters, with the Qur'an and Sunnah at the centre of every story.
Today the publication is read by 1.8 million sisters a month across 142 countries. It is still reader-supported. It is still ad-free. And it is still, in every sense, written sister to sister.
